It's time to stop trying to clone WVU and start valuing and reinforcing Marshall's strengths. Continuing to throw more and more money at new programs is harmful to the school overall, and one result is a faculty which is among the poorest paid in the country.
It's also time to have the Herd athletic program function at its proper level rather then throwing millions of dollars from the general fund into that endeavor every year. Marshall actually did compete for championships at its proper level, and while it did that it didn't take money from academics or facilities. Now athletics loses millions per year, and every other aspect of the school suffers as a result.
