While the new art building will no doubt be an amazing facility it does forge some new issues with not being connected to campus. One I have heard is students who don't have a car and are living on campus will have a bit of a trekdown towards the Old Stone&Thomas/New art building in Pullman aquare. That becomes a safety issue for those who have night classes in that situation. While Pullman square is nice the area between it and main campus can be sketchy at night. Perhaps a facelift to that 4th ave stretch? Like the empty buildings could continue the Pullman square vibe with little unique Marshall Themed Shops and perhaps a few MU resturants/small dining hall? that you could use workstudy/students to staff. Other empty buildings could either be redone as Apartments/dorms for the COFA students. Extend the apartments/dorms up fourth and you would also meet the the needs of the COFA music students for housing. Just a few things that would make the new building feel like a part of campus.
